Time has this inexplicable way for pushing you in the direction that you are meant to take. Slowly and surely, the ticking of the clock opens your eyes to new ideas and possiblities. But what it also does is that it reduces your fear of the unknown, the new and the untested. At least thats what it is doing to me.
I lived in fear of a great many things. Most of these fears were unfounded and some were in fact stupid. But the passage of time has given me the strength to face those fears and overcome them.
This was supposed to be an introduction to this blog, and I seem to have gone way off course. But there is a point to be made here. I believe music has the power to build bridges and tear down walls. I believe one of the ways to peace is through music. Call me idealogical, call me a hippie, call me whatever. This is my belief and frankly, the screaming distortion driven sounds of an electric guitar are way better than the whistling scream of a cruise missile.
When it comes to music, I'm deeply disappointed with what is churned out today. So I have chosen to vent my frustration onto an online page (which I hope people will read). Not everything on this page will be negative though. i hope to review and re-listen to all my favourites and hopefully I can tell you why they have a special meaning.
Thats all that I have to say for now except, "For those about to rock, we salute you"
